The Dashboard and Reports tabs in Fintruck are designed to provide you with a comprehensive view of your trucking business’s performance and allow you to access or export key financial data as needed. These tools are tailored to make managing your business easier and more efficient.

Dashboard

The Dashboard tab helps you quickly understand recent business performance and review financial statements directly within the app.

What You Can Do on the Dashboard:

1. View Summary Metrics:

   • Assess key financial metrics like revenue, expenses, profit margins, and cash flow for the most recent periods.
   • Monitor trucking-specific metrics, such as fuel costs, driver payroll, and maintenance expenses.

2. Access Fintruck Financial Statements:

   • View detailed financial statements for selected periods (monthly, quarterly, or yearly) with adjustable levels of detail.
   • Gain insights into trucking-specific categories like freight income, tolls, and repairs.

3. Download Financial Statements:

   • Export financial statements for sharing or offline review.
   • Customize and modify downloaded statements to suit your reporting requirements.

4. Drill Into Transactions:

   • Click on specific metrics or line items in the financial statements to explore the underlying transactions.
   • Redirect to the Transaction tab for further review, categorization, or adjustment.

Reports

The Reports tab is designed for users who need to export financial and operational data from Fintruck for use outside the app. This feature simplifies reporting for tax preparation, audits, or sharing information with stakeholders.

What You Can Do on the Reports Tab:

1. Download Financial Statements:

   • Export Fintruck financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for offline use.

2. Access Payroll Reports:

   • Download payroll summaries imported from your payroll provider integration.
   • These reports can help track driver wages and manage compliance with payroll regulations.

3. Export Bank and Credit Card Activity:

   • Generate listings of bank and credit card transactions for any selected period, as shown in the Transactions tab.
   • Use this data for reconciling accounts or preparing financial summaries.

4. Prepare Tax Reports:

   • Easily export reports frequently required for tax preparation, including:
     • Trial Balance
     • Year-End Balance Sheet
     • Full-Year Profit & Loss Statement
     • General Ledger

How to Use the Dashboard & Reports Tabs:

1. Navigate to the Tabs:

   • Access the Dashboard or Reports tabs via the main navigation panel in the app.

2. Customize Your Data View:

   • In the Dashboard, select the desired period range and level of detail for your financial statements.
   • In the Reports tab, specify the type of report and time period you need before downloading.

3. Download and Share Reports:

   • Use the export functionality to save reports in various formats for sharing with your team, tax preparer, or accountant.

4. Drill Down for Details:

   • On the Dashboard, click on line items to explore transaction details.
   • Use the Reports tab to generate summaries or export raw data for more in-depth analysis.
